Members of the Canadian Woodworking Machinery Distributors Association (CWMDA) are excited to join their efforts again to present this unique event, offering a broad display of industrial woodworking machinery. This year’s edition will run for five days from Tuesday to Saturday, October 18th-22nd 2022 from 9h00 am to 5h00 pm.
The success of last year’s WTD has confirmed the interest of the industry for this new and different formula which opens the doors to eight different showrooms of leading Canadian organizations. This not only allows us to show you more machinery but also several impressive demos in optimal conditions, favouring a closer one-on-one visitor experience. More than ever, the focus will be on solutions and technologies that can help you stay competitive and face labour shortages.
Watch for more information as we will soon launch our new WTD website and open registration. No other show or single event in Canada brings you as much!
MOST SUCESSFUL EDITION FOR THE WTD 2021!
The WTD 2021 (Woodworking Technology Days), held from Monday to Saturday November 1st - 6th 2021, has been very successful, both in terms of the attendance and quality of visitors as well as presenting the latest trends and innovative solutions for the woodworking industry. Close to three hundred woodworking companies and one thousand visitors attended the different CWMDA members showrooms, this time around coming from all over Canada, with a strong delegation from Quebec.
These visitors were not disappointed. At a time where our industry, like others, suffers from a labour shortage the WTD 2021 proved that the SOLUTIONS ARE AVAILABLE NOW to help you expand your business. Whether it is under the form of a completely automated robotic work cell or the pre-set, zero set up, technology shown on the edgebanders being demonstrated, the key point is that this equipment makes you less dependent on manpower and operators that can then be directed to other tasks. These solutions are complemented by an array of advanced softwares and high-performance tooling.
The CWMDA wishes to thank all the visitors for their presence, as well as its WTD sponsors, Industry and media partners for their participation and support. The planning for the WTD 2022 edition has already begun and you can certainly expect our next edition to be even stronger.

The Woodworking Network, organizers of the WMS show, and the Canadian Woodworking Machinery Distributors Association (CWMDA), sponsors of the Woodworking Technology Days (WTD) event have decided to join forces to offer the Canadian industry an enhanced presentation of industrial machinery. With respect to the WMS, which presents a wider variety of machinery, supplies, tooling and software, the WTD event was created last year by the Association and its members who saw the need to focus on specialized production equipment and offer a larger number of demos, which do require extensive space and set-up facilities. As it takes place in the members showrooms, most of which are located within 20 minutes of the International Center, both organizations recognized the complementarity of the two events and the opportunity to serve better the woodworking industry with a National event that will be at the level of other International shows, making it worthwhile for visitors from across Canada to attend.
Therefore, both organizations have agreed to mutually promote the two events and make it easy for visitors. Having that in mind and in order to allow more time for visitors to enjoy both events, the WTD event will operate from Monday to Saturday November 1st - 6th 2021, while the WMS starts on the Thursday and runs until Saturday as usual. With some major international shows cancelled in the recent year, a high turnover is expected as this is a great opportunity for woodworkers to travel in Canada and see more machinery than ever.

New logos for the association and its Woodworking Technology Days (WTD) event!
The Canadian Woodworking Machinery Distributors Association (CWMDA) is pleased to present both a new logo for the Association and a brand-new logo for its landmark event, the Woodworking Technology Days (WTD). A refresh was more than welcomed for the 35 years association logo. As to the new WTD logo, it does reflect the recent decision by the CWMDA not only to make of the event a yearly one but develop it into a major and professional event serving the Canadian industry, focusing on the more specialized production machinery.
